Surprise, Az utility bills, comment from the Arizona Republic

Surprisedindeed Councilman Alton. FY2009 you approved a fulltime position, a utility accountant, specifically to collect past due accounts. Check out a city budget book or minutes of the budget retreat etc etc, maybe it will jog your memory. So now the costs of an agency are included for us taxpayers to foot the bill for, how much revenue are they honestly bringing in? Oh, the article does not say!

What a lack of essential information from ICM Mark Coronado’s report, the same holds true with Mayor Lyn Truitt’s out dated Video Log.

The Council Members should all bring their NoteBook’s up to date.

Reading what our Interim City Manager Mark Coronado said in the local papers made little sense to me, hope other people can determine what his true objectives are in the replacement of our Police Chief.

He says, he wants to go nationally, but could go with-in the department. Does not sound like he will be making the decision on who to hire.

Taken from newszap: Surprise will NEVER have a city manager so long as a couple of council members are, in essence, forcing their wishes upon the the city manager. Any candidate for city manager needs to know they will be prevailed upon to forfiet the right to freely manage city operations on a day-to-day basis.Mark Coronado is a brave and very dedicated man for assuming the CM task on an interim basis. Mark’s comment he was 350% sure he did not want the CM job on permanent basis says it all. A well-qualified CM candidate , upon doing due diligence, would likely reject an offer for the job.
