Under Acting City Manager Mark Coronado no names or reasons will be given.
In answer to a question about my contentious remark that the City of Surprise Council has no “Guts”.
Look at the council meeting held on the 22nd of April and ask yourself why Vice-Mayor Richard Alton and Councilman Mike Woodard did not want a discussion on Consent Item #9, was it because it was brought forward for approval by April Reynolds, Human Resources? This gives the appearance that the Human Resource Dept. was advocating how much to pay our Interim City Manager.
Previous councils have always gone into an Executive Session to discuss the city manager’s salary.

Surprise, Arizona Mayor Lyn Truitt has a petulant nature.
What was the game plan?
With all that is going on (Budget & Police Dept.), it was bad timing for the Council to fire our City Manager.
Why was Acting City Manager Kolb replaced so quickly? With some one who doesn’t want the job.
Hope that the Block of Four that used “Without Cause”
Vice-Mayor Richard Alton, Council Members Sharon Walcott, John Williams and Mike Woodard
Have a plan B.
It will be interesting to see how staff has the City Council reconfigure the Budget.
Shut out
It is my view that the elected officials of Surprise, Arizona believe that its citizens are their servants, because at their Budget Retreat held on April the 23rd and 24th we were not allowed to give any input on the agenda items.
