The Surprise City Council approved facility-use agreements for two new start-up technology companies to move into the AZ TechCelerator, the city’s four-building technology business incubator, during last Thursday’s council meeting. Catalyst Business Development will occupy 1,166 square feet in Building B. The company offers innovative business integration software and services and already has a strategic business relationship with another AZ TechCelerator tenant, w8ter.com. 

Rigid Wall Designs Inc., a sustainability-focused materials engineering company for the construction industry, will occupy 277 square feet of office space in Building A. “These two amazing companies will be right at home alongside the other eight innovative firms operating at the AZ TechCelerator,” says AZ TechCelerator Manager Jeanine Jerkovic. “All of the companies have great business plans and with our help, their success will mean more jobs for Surprise.”

Surprise, AZ (March 29, 2010) The City of Surprise Community & Recreation Services Department presents the next “Second Sundays in the Park” event, Sunday, April 11, from 2 p.m. -5 p.m.  

 

The April theme Celebrates Spring with live music by Walt Pitts, a petting zoo and Willow Canyon High School Street Theater Performances.  Bring a blanket and picnic and enjoy an afternoon at the park.  

 

Second Sundays in the Park events feature a new theme each month. The free events are held at the Surprise Recreation Campus Community Park, from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., except the June event which is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.  The upcoming schedule is as follows:  

 

  • April 11th 2-5 pm – “Spring Celebration” – Live Music featuring Walt Pitts, Petting Zoo and Willow Canyon High School Street Theater Performances, Ice Cream 

  • May 9th 2-5 pm“May Fiesta” -  Mariachis, Folkloric Dancers, Mexican Food 

  • June 13th – 5-8 pm – “Hawaiian Luau” – Steel Drum Musicians, Hawaiian Dancing, Hawaiian Snow Cones
