Skateboard simlator

My nephew, who is a developer, installed this simulator in Springfield, Oregon.

A unique, Danish-made skateboard simulator – the first of its kind in the United States – was unveiled today at the dedication of Willamalane Park and Recreation District’s new Rob Adams Park in southeast Springfield.

Speakers at the Thursday, May 15, ceremony included Willamalane Superintendent Bob Keefer; Mark Vukanovich, managing member of the Bend-based development firm SunTrust Land Co.; Lee Beyer, chairman, Willamalane Board of Directors; and Sid Leiken, mayor of Springfield.

Meaningful Collaboration between ASU’s Decision Theater and the City of Surprise

Posted on May 12th, 2009
Integrated research results from ASU scientists have had a direct impact on the Water Resources Master Plan for the City of Surprise.

Faced with the challenge of balancing future water demand with supply, officials from the City of Surprise engaged ASU scientists at the Decision Theater to explore alternate scenarios for the city’s future water use.

The models and collaborative tools created by the scientists helped the city’s decision makers determine the criticality of the balance of needed investments into infrastructure to keep up with demand, land-use proposals currently being considered, and possible conservation policies.

Old city hall

In Surprise, Az the City Manager Randy Oliver, Mayor Lyn Truitt and Council is awful quite about what’s going to happen to the old city hall, they are probably waiting to see if the GO Bonds sell and if they don’t they will sell the property.

Slave labor

Wonder if our liberal mayor, Lyn Truitt is having any luck with hiring our older citizens for under $2.00 an hour?

There has been no comment fron Councilman Richard Alton on how our partnership with job.com is going.
