SURPRISE, AZ (February 4, 2009) The City of Surprise is currently accepting applications for the new council-approved Building and Construction Review Board.
Applications are available for pick-up, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekdays at the City Clerk’s Office, 12425 W. Bell Road, D-100. A copy of the board’s bylaws will be attached to the application.Applications must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 13. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please call the City Clerk’s Office at 623-222-1000.

Seniors –walk your way to a healthier you with the Senior Strider Walking Club. Walk the concourse every Tuesday and Thursday in March, and afterwards, enjoy a spring training game as guests of the City of Surprise, Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals. Walking is a great form of exercise, and what’s more fun than walking and socializing in a group at the Surprise Recreation Campus! The fee for residents is $40 and the non-resident fee is $60. SURPRISE, AZ (February 2, 2009) The Community and Recreation Services Department is hosting ‘Cupids Crazy Saturday Dance,’ February 14, for youth ages 11-14.
The dance will be held at the Sierra Montana Recreation Center, from 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Community and Recreation Services Department, 15960 N. Bullard Avenue, for $4. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event for $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents.
