U.S. Fed Cup—Baseball–Water Classes
Surprise, AZ (January 29, 2009) The USTA and U.S. Fed Cup Captain Mary JoeFernandez have announced that Phoenix resident Bethanie Mattek, the third-highest ranked American woman in the world, will make her Fed Cup debut alongside Liezel Huber, the world’s No. 1 doubles player, Jill Craybas, and fellow first-time Fed Cupper Melanie Oudin when they face Argentina in the 2009 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas quarterfinal February 7-8 at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex.
SURPRISE, AZ (January 30, 2009) The Surprise Water Conservation Division of Public Works is hosting a variety of free Water Wise Landscape classes February – May. To register for any of the free classes, or for more information, please call 623.222.7023.
SURPRISE, AZ (January 29, 2009) Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball Registration is open in Surprise, and all leagues begin in early March. Athletes ranging in age from 5 to 14 years old can participate in one of the many leagues offered through the city’s Community and Recreation Services Department, one of the largest Cal Ripken programs in the country.
