Rain chances push Bell/Reems intersection closure to Dec. 2
SURPRISE, AZ (Nov. 25, 2008) The intersection of Bell and Reems roads will be closed Tu lly planned for Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The contractor is cleaning up the work site, raising manholes and completing other finishing details to the intersection. Posted detours will help drivers get around the closure and on their way to their favorite local businesses.
The work at this intersection was one of the most involved components to Phases 2 and 3 of the $5.6 million Bell Road Reconstruction Project. Additional turn lanes were added, drainage improvements were made, and an updated traffic signal was installed. Crews also installed an underground water line for Arizona American in the area.
Other upcoming finishing work will include:
: Monday, Dec. 1: Crews will be striping both directions of Bell Road that were part of the Phase 2 & 3 Reconstruction. There are no lane restrictions during the striping work, however motorists are asked to not drive over the fresh striping immediately after it is laid, as the product takes a few minutes to dry.
