Business access maintained
The intersection of Bell and Reems roads will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m., and business access will be maintained.
The contractor is cleaning up the work site, raising manholes and completing other finishing details to the intersection. Posted detours will help drivers get around the closure and on their way to their favorite local businesses.
The work at this intersection was one of the most involved components to Phases 2 and 3 of the $5.6 million Bell Road Reconstruction Project. Additional turn lanes were added, drainage improvements were made, and an updated traffic signal was installed. Crews also installed an underground water line for Arizona American in the area.
Other upcoming finishing work will include:
: Thursday, Nov. 20: Eastbound Bell will be restricted to one lane, from Civic Center Drive to Grand Avenue, between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
: Eastbound Bell will be restricted to one lane, from Civic Center Drive to Grand Avenue, between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24: Westbound Bell will be restricted to one lane, from Mountain Vista to Loop 303, between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
: Westbound Bell will be restricted to one lane, from Mountain Vista to Loop 303, between the hours of 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
Drivers are reminded to follow the posted construction signs and reduced speed limit signs throughout the work zones. Intermittent sidewalks closures can occur throughout the work area. It is against state law to move traffic restriction signage. Intermittent clean up work will result in temporary traffic restrictions in both directions of Bell throughout the work areas.
